Another beginning

As with any good story, there is lots of foreshadowing as the plot thickens and the characters don't always know what they're getting into. That was definitely the case when I met Alan in a tipi, 2 years ago. We were instant friends and eventual lovers. But now I'm getting ahead of myself. Last year we took a road trip to the NW, we weren't sure about our feelings for each other, but turns out that Montana is a good place to fall in love. Plenty of sky and time on the road. When we visited Seattle, we both agreed we could live there someday. That was last year, around my birthday. Oddly, the bar we went to the night of my 30th birthday is now 3 blocks from our house. It's called the Twilight Exit. Which is really appropriate, because this whole adventure has felt like that. The last year was full of lots of good stuff. Adventures to Burning Man in Nevada, NYC, and Costa Rica....building amazing friendships with people in Minneapolis, learning a lot from being in love, being unemployed, being...just being.

So now we dive into the next chapter. After a year of transition in Minneapolis, Alan landed his dream job in Seattle. We just moved across half the United States together. I've never lived outside of the Midwest and he's from the East coast...so the West is a new adventure for both of us. We embrace the adventure with open minds and hearts full of love. It sounds cheesy, but it's true. We're lucky in love. And ready for all these changes.
